Tradesman Building Group
Tradesman Building Group is a family owned construction services firm, comprised of three brands: Tradesman Drywall, Tradesman Interiors, and Tradesman Construction.
Our founder, Ben Lewis, grew up in the drywall industry and started his career in construction as a drywall finisher. As a second-generation drywaller, Ben believes strongly in quality workmanship, dependability, and customer/contractor satisfaction. Soon after launching Tradesman, Ben was joined in the business by his brothers Hunter and Andrew.
The Lewis brothers' passion for the construction trades - and their customers - has led to the rapid and continuous expansion of the company. Tradesman Drywall, our flagship company, is now just one of three Tradesman brands. We also offer full basement and interior remodeling services through Tradesman Interiors, as well as a range of home building and residential construction services through Tradesman Construction.
Our goal is to make the Tradesman brand synonymous with the words quality, efficiency and integrity.

Our Team
Ben Lewis prides himself on being a "hands on" CEO, and can often be found in the field, finishing drywall or training new hires. Ben is a second-generation drywall contractor, raised in a central PA drywall family. He has a passion for the construction trades, and seeks to provide exceptional services to his customers while giving his employees the opportunity to have long-term and fulfilling careers in the industry. Ben founded Tradesman Drywall in 2008, and together with his brother Andrew, has expanded the company into a multi-faceted construction services firm. Ben is a member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, where he serves as an airborne infantryman. Ben is married with four children and resides in Halifax, PA.

Mara Thalhauser has been with the Tradesman team since our early days operating out of a one-room office space in downtown Harrisburg! A former small business owner herself, Mara is well versed on all aspects of business accounting and billing. She is also a subject matter expert on AIA billing and prevailing wage (scale) billing. As Administrator, Mara manages the Tradesman office, and prides herself and her team on providing top notch customer service to our clients. Mara stays active in her local community as a church pianist, and has served as a voluntary debate judge at various PA high schools. Her hobbies include spending time with family, playing piano, cooking and reading. Mara and her husband reside in Landisburg.

As Tradesman Drywall Estimator and PM, Josh is who you will deal with for all of your drywall needs. Josh hails from Duncannon, and brings a wealth of remodeling and drywall experience to the Tradesman team. Josh also has a background in Information Technology, and uses those skills at Tradesman by bringing innovative software approaches to the commercial estimating process. His specialties include project estimation, general carpentry, and drywall hanging and finishing. Josh is a family man and when he is not spending time with his wife and three boys, he can be found out hunting, participating in charity events, or running marathons. Josh holds an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology and Business Management from Harrisburg Area Community College.
An award winning builder, Norm Sheaffer is an expert in both commercial and residential construction. He brings 30+ years of building experience to the table and has completed hundreds of projects, from custom homes to multi-million dollar commercial buildings. Norm has a passion for the industry and for his customers, and is a well-regarded subject matter expert throughout our company. In 2003, Norm was awarded the coveted Craftsmanship Award by the Harrisburg Builders Exchange for his work on a residential project. Norm is married with three daughters, and is an active member of his local church.

Hunter Lewis heads up our Tradesman Interiors and our newly launched Tradesman Remodeling divisions, and is committed to providing our customers with the highest quality of service possible. Hunter was immersed in the drywall trade from a young age, and like his brothers, he learned to hang and finish drywall as a teenager from his dad. Building off of his foundation in drywall, Hunter spent years gaining experience in carpentry and remodeling. As lead carpenter for Tradesman Interiors, Hunter considers carpentry both a trade and an art, and he prides himself on providing premium level craftsmanship to our clients. Hunter’s specialties include drywall, carpentry, full-service remodeling, and renovations, and he is the company’s subject matter expert on all aspects of drywall installation. When he is not at work, Hunter enjoys spending time with his family, and – true to his name – hunting.
